On October 14, 2020, Mrs. Annie Valentine received her wings and was called to be with the Lord.
Annie Valentine (Nee Clark) was born in Faber, Virginia on April 12, 1914 to Norman & Saddie Clark.
The family relocated to Spring Lake Heights, NJ when Annie (Brownie) was ten years old. She attended the Como Grammar School and graduated from Neptune High School.
Her family later moved to East Orange, NJ where she met and later married the late Blake Valentine.
Annie (Brownie) devoted her life to helping other. She was employed by Krill Care for over 25 years as a Home Health Aide. Annie (Brownie) enjoyed helping others and even volunteered throughout her community for many years after she retired.
On September 15, 1991, Annie (Brownie) Valentine became a member of Bethel Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member. Annie was also a Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Stars, PHA, Bethlehem Chapter 41. In 2015, she was recognized as a Member of the Centenarian Club, a group of special members, 100+ years old.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Blake Valentine; sisters, Beatrice Clark, Mary Lee Thompson, Catherine Tassy; brothers, Chester, James, John, George and Luke Clark.
Annie (Brownie) is survived by her loving nephew, Michael Thompson (Tracey) who cared for her through her final days, two God daughters, Suzanne Lindsay and Cynthia Huff, one granddaughter, Denise Daniels, and a host of nieces, nephews and loving friends.
