Carrie Bell King was born on October 5, 1939 in Neville, Alabama to the late Bennie Hollis and Versie Frazier Hollis. She was the wife of the late Deacon Hubert King. Out of this union three children were born. She attended Seton Hall University. Deaconess Carrie King was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she became a member of the Deaconess board on February 22, 1998 before relocating to Georgia. She worked for the New Jersey Department of Labor. Carrie King departed this life on Friday, July 17, 2020. Deaconess Carrie King leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Cynthia Snipes, Sondra King, Carolyn Okonkwo; son-in-law, Dr. Ejike Okonkwo; future son -in- law, Aaron Allen; grandchildren, Michael Bloxton, Marlon Evans, Marquis Evans; brothers,Issac and Joseph Hollis; sisters, Annette Thomas, Mae Charles and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
