Obituary of Gregory Maurice Ward

Please share a memory of Gregory to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Gregory Maurice Ward was born on February 7, 1964 in Paterson, New Jersey to parents Harold and Evelyn Ward. He was a lifelong resident of Paterson. Greg was educated in the Paterson school system and later received his GED. Greg worked for Certified Supermarket for over 10 years before going to work for Henry Gist Trucking Company where he stayed employed for 25 years. The Gist family treated him like a member of the family. Gregory was a loving Father, Son, Brother, and Uncle. He was always quiet and stayed to himself most of the time but the love he had for his family and the love his family had towards him was always present in his life. Greg also enjoyed watching sports, his favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys. He spent the last 6 years of his life in St Mary’s Nursing Home where he always kept the nurses and staff laughing with a joke, a wink and a smile and his favorite blowing kisses at all the ladies. They all had pleasant things to say about him whenever the family came to visit. Gregory’s memory will be cherished by his loving parents Harold and Evelyn Ward, Son Tyree Ward of East Orange, Brother James Glover and Sister-in-Law Kim Glover of Kentucky, Sisters Dawn Glover, Audrey McQueen, Diane Ward, Angela Ward all of Paterson and Sharon Ward of Teaneck and a host of Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
