Obituary of Betty J. Robinson

Please share a memory of Betty to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Betty Jean Robinson went to be with the lord on January 8, 2019. She was born in Bainbridge, Georgia on December 5, 1934. Betty was a resident of Bath, Pennsylvania for nearly three years, but spent most of her life in Newark, New Jersey.

She was baptized as a young child in Bainbridge, Georgia and enjoyed praising god and reading the Bible. Betty held various positions in the Newark school systems, ranging from an aid in the cafeteria to a teacher’s aide; during her later years she worked as a caregiver for the elderly and mentally challenged.

Betty was truly loved and liked by all, old and young, and will be remembered for her loving ways. Everyone who knew Betty knew she was a happy soul and full of joy, don’t forget blunt. She was a compassionate listener and did not pass judgement, because of that, she was truly adored. Betty met and married her late husband, Robert, in her early 20’s; from this union came 8 beautiful children, 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren  and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Robinson; son, Robert Robinson Jr.; daughter, Renee Robinson and grandson, Cleavon Washington.

Betty leaves to cherish her memory, her loving children, Darlene Maynard (Clifford), Robin Robinson, Tracey Robinson (Shavonn), Scott Robinson, Tanya Wallace (Wayne), Dion Robinson;  a host of grandkids, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and  as well as many other dear friends and relatives.

Lovingly submitted,

The Family
