Obituary of Mildred L. Ham

Mildred Ham was born on January 13, 1932 to Paul Smith and Canary Hill in Kinston, North Carolina. She departed this life on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 0832 in East Orange General Hospital.

Mildred was a resident of Newark, NJ, from 1959 to 1991 (32 years) and East Orange, NJ, from 1991 to 2018 (27 years); totaling 59 years.

She only made it to elementary school (up to 8^th grade) however she continued to educate herself along with educating her children.

She was united in marriage with Theodore Lewis Ham (deceased) and to this union, three children were born.

Mildred is lovingly survived by her daughters, Teresa Long, Linda Hartsfield, Cynthia Ham and Keisha Blount-Little; five granddaughters, Akeeddah Summers, Chenelle Long, Aisha Lafaye Moorer, Shaniyah Davis and Janae Thompson; three grandsons, Raheem Ham, Travis Hartsfield and Soloman Davis; five great grandsons, Dante Ham-Savini, Krystopher Ward, Amir Woods, Ihsam Jabril Summers and Sahmir Davis; 8 great granddaughters, Zahra Saud, Zaira Saud, Instisar Brown, Ishaal Summers, Noel Nicole Rashaig Ham, Noel Cynteayah Riashone Ham, Sa’ Diya Summers and Madison Hartsfield. She is also survived by a multitude of other family members and acquaintances.
