Obituary of Gloria G. Pendleton

Gloria Gene Johnson-Pendleton was born on October 9, 1960 to the parents of Rasberry Johnson and Clency Lee Filder-Johnson in Montgomery, AL; they relocated to New Jersey when Gloria was two years old.  

Gloria lived in East Orange, NJ; she went to school within the East Orange School District. In 1979, she met Mr. Edward Pendleton and they began dating in 1979. In 1995, they got married and a year later, had their beautiful daughter, Nija.

Gloria found employment at Underwriting Insurance Company in NJ. She worked there for 23 years until a downsizing forced her into retirement. From that point on, she dedicated her time to raising her only daughter, Nija and granddaughter, Harmony Harper.

Mrs. Gloria Pendleton is preceded in death by her father, Rasberry Johnson; father-in-law, William Pendleton; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Johnson and brother-in-law, Ronnie Pendleton.

She leaves, to cherish her wonderful memories, her husband, Edward Pendleton of East Orange, NJ; daughter, Nija Pendleton of East Orange, NJ; granddaughter, Harmony Harper of East Orange, NJ; brother-in-law, Daryle Pendleton of Baltimore, MD; mother, Clency Johnson of East Orange, NJ; brothers, Arthur and Damon Johnson of Orange, NJ; nieces, Jenee Jacobs, Alona Jacobs, Airis Jacobs and Aubrey Jacobs, all of Lithia, GA; and a host of family and friends.
