Thank you Mrs. Stuckey for being a great friend to my mom (Dorothy Smalls). I am so grateful for the laughs I remember from you when I was a child. I remember your distinct voice and the way you made me feel special. You will be missed. You will be forever remembered and loved.
Love,
Patrina Smalls

Gus, Rodney, Andrew and family, we extend our heartfelt condolences. Mae was a pillar of our youth, and stayed there throughout our lives. When I (Lois) spoke with her recently, she encouraged me to don't stop with education, keep going. She spoke her mind, but it was always heartfelt. Your home was always open to us, and laughter abounded. To this day, my family enjoys baked macaroni and cheese with fried chicken because Mae taught me how. We loved her and will miss her. Her guidance and wisdom will never leave us. Rest in peace our friend. Love, Richard and Lois Pearce

Mae was a wonderful person. She was a mentor to many young people. She assisted with preparing for many events at BCL Day Care Center. She prepared many delicious meals and invited me , Lois, Barbara, Virgie and some others. Mae and Gus were our village. Mae was a member of First Baptist Church of East Elmhurst NY. She was very active in many church ministries. She was alway ready to help me with events. We would talk on the phone for at least a hour. Mae's advice will be missed.
