Aunt Stella, my father's eldest sister, was my God-mother. A beautiful, loving, caring soul. She was the matriarch of the Thomas Family. It seems every Sunday, when I was young, we would go over there after church; sometimes for dinner and sometimes after we went home, ate, and changed. I remember running around in the playground and skinning my knee. Aunt Stella would wash, cleanse, and bandage my wound so tenderly. I felt so comforted, I used to think about falling again.
I remember the day of my Senior Prom. Aunt Stella came over to the house and gave me $50. I was shocked. I didn't even know she knew it was my prom night. Nobody ever pays any attention to a boy's prom night; the girls get all the love, and that's cool. But the the fact that My Auntie, My God-Mother, took the time to think of me is truly a testament to the fact that she believed that if she "Could help somebody as she past along, If she could cheer somebody with a word or a song. If she could show somebody that he was travelling long, Then her living would not be in vain."
Amen! Thank you Aunt Stella. Your life has been a blessing to all of us! You have made more disciples. You have raised your family. You have fought a good fight. You have finished the race. You have kept the faith. And now, there is a crown of righteousness that The Lord God, the Righteous Judge, shall give to you! You are our Angel and We Will Love You Always!!!
Amen!!!

My Aunt Stella was a second mother to me. I'll never forgot how she always used to make sure that I had something to eat. She encouraged me to work hard and save money. She bought me my 1st to cars. I lived with her up until I went off to college and she was always there for me. I will forever miss, My Aunt Stella. May she rest in heavenly peace.
