Celebrating the Life of Nydia Simone Rose

With heavy hearts and profound love, we announce the passing of Nydia Simone Rose, age 49, who peacefully transitioned from this life on March 15, 2025.

Born on January 10, 1976, in Paterson, New Jersey, Nydia was the cherished daughter of the late Arnita Pearl Rose and the late William (Billy) Harrison. She was a proud product of Paterson Public Schools and later pursued her passion for healthcare at the Berdan Institute, where she graduated with honors as a dental hygienist.

Nydia was a radiant spirit — a woman of grace, strength, and creativity. She had a deep love for writing, music, and family. Whether it was putting pen to paper, sharing a favorite song, or laughing with loved ones, Nydia had a way of making every moment feel meaningful. Her warm heart and gentle presence will forever echo in the lives she touched.

She was welcomed into eternal rest by her mother, Arnita Pearl Rose; mother, Catherine “Cat” Sparks; father, William (Billy) Harrison; grandmother, Ann Rose; grandfather, Warren Rose; and two beloved aunts, Brenda and Renne Rose.

Nydia leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with:

Her four devoted sisters: Tracy Rose, Jada Rose, Sheika Rose, and Tammie Sparks

Her beloved niece: Tronar Newkirk

Two caring brothers: Samuel “Moet” Sparks and Arthur “Cap” Horton

Four dear aunts: Penny Rose, Robin Rose, Antoinette “Toni” Marie Rose, and Sherry Rose

Two treasured uncles: Lorenzo “Lo” Rose and Kenny (Sherry) Rose

And a host of adoring nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will carry her spirit with them always

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing Nydia is now resting in divine peace, surrounded by those who went before her. Her life was a testament to resilience, compassion, and quiet strength — and her memory will forever be our blessing.
