My heart felt condolences on the passing of your mother. I never met her but I'm certain she was a dynamic woman because of the person you are. I pray that you and your family's strength remains in the Lord during this difficult time. God bless each of you with a special measure of comfort. .

Sending sincere sympathy to Gloria E. Tyson and her family on the loss of her Mother. Mrs. Betty Tyson was a very loving and smart woman, full of good conversation and well versed in almost any areas you might want to discuss. I was honored to share in the celebration of her birthday in Washington, DC as we witnessed the opening of the African American Museum in 2016. I will always have fond memories of our trip and phone conversations. My prayer is that the memories of your Mother bring you peace, comfort and strength.

Q: How did you meet Betty?
A: I met Betty (mom) through her daughter Gloria. Betty became a mom to me before and after the passing of my mother. I never called her Betty but always referred to her as mom.
We attended many of the talk shows in New York together. We talked, called one another and attended shows at Lincoln Center and Radio City Music Hall. She was wonderful,
Kind, caring, and a loving person. She gave me strength and hope. She always said that my husband and I made her laugh. I will truly miss her and what she brought to my life and to my family lives.
Rest in peace MOM.
Love you
Gerrie
